Symbolism & Imagery:

When we take a look at traditional depictions of the Seven of Swords, we can clearly see a character sneaking away from an unguarded military camp with a handful of swords. He has five swords in his arms, with two more left behind. He is looking back at the military camp with a smug smile on his face.

The imagery of this card is pretty obvious, showing a theft in broad daylight. The swords appear to be pretty easy to take, with tents in the encampment open and the swords unprotected. The thief is dressed pretty smartly, with red boots and a matching red hat. He seems to be taking the swords because he can, not because he needs to.
